TATE'S GOAL TOWARD RECOVERY

Pillar I

The TateTough Foundation's primary pillar is dedicated to assisting Tate in making a full recovery.  After Tate was shot in the head, neck and shoulder, his typical regimen of athletics and academics was replaced by doctor visits, physical, occupational and aquatic therapy, counseling and of course legal obligations associated with the case. With bullet fragments still in his neck, 1MM away from his spinal cord, Tate has used that measurement as motivation for the Foundation tagline "1MM = One Man's Mission". 

Tate has made tremendous progress and continues to have an "Attack the Day" attitude as he works hard toward recovery. We are always striving to cheer Tate on and invite you to join our team and learn more how to lend your support.

TATETOUGH SCHOLARSHIPS

Pillar II

With this initiative, our goal is to promote funding for scholarships at two schools that have been an integral part of and made an impression on Tate: The University of Georgia and Cambridge High School. The Foundation will award a $1000 scholarship to one University of Georgia lacrosse player and one Cambridge High School athlete each year that the Foundation can support the effort. The scholarship will be awarded to a team member that exemplifies toughness both mentally and physically, that embodies the grit to lead by example, and has the spiritual attitude of the ultimate teammate.
